Human Rights Commission: The trials of the Afghan government are illegal and illegal
The human rights commission of the previous government of Afghanistan called the criminal sentences of the high courts of the current government shocking, group punishment and terrible and said that these decisions are in clear conflict with national and international laws. This commission has condemned this decision of the Supreme Court by publishing a declaration and says that the decisions of the courts of the current government are in clear conflict with national and international laws. This decision violates human values and fair trial norms. The Human Rights Commission added: “The court must go through the three stages of investigation, trial and post-trial and the defendants must have access to a defense lawyer, information and other basic requirements for a fair trial.” Abdul Malik Haqqani, the deputy of the Supreme Court of the Caretaker Government announced on Thursday of last week that this court has so far issued 175 sentences of retribution, 37 sentences of stoning and four sentences of demolishing the wall on the convicts. He had said that in the provincial courts of the current government, 79 people were sentenced to pay dowry, 103 people were sentenced to execution of khuda, and 1,562 people were sentenced to punishment. He says that some of these orders have been implemented and others are ready to be implemented. This caretaker government official emphasized that the decision about the limits and retribution needs full attention and careful consideration. Mr. Haqqani added that if the rulings of Hudud and Qisas are issued according to Sharia, there is no obstacle in their implementation. However, the Human Rights Commission has emphasized that it considers the trials of the current government to be a field trial and strongly condemns it. The declaration states that the behavior of the courts of the caretaker government can be registered as violations and collective crimes against human rights in the world courts. Furthermore, the current government has been requested that they should not ignore the principles of fair trial and violate the rights of the accused by using oppressive approaches in the name of providing security. The Human Rights Commission emphasized that the caretaker government is a group imposed on the people of Afghanistan and the decisions of their courts are illegitimate. In a part of its announcement, this commission has asked specialized legal institutions at the national and international level to react seriously to the decisions of the courts of the caretaker government and their actions. Also, this commission has asked the United Nations and the international community to put pressure on the current government, prevent the implementation of oppressive decisions and prevent more Afghan citizens from becoming victims.
