A cultural-commercial complex for women is being built by the United Nations in Bamyan

The local officials in Bamyan province inform about the construction of a cultural-commercial and recreational complex specially for women by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Issa Khan plain, from the center of this province. Sabour Farzan Sighani, the spokesperson of the governor of Bamyan, told Goharshad media today (Tuesday, 16 Juza) that the construction of this center was opened yesterday by Ms. Yumiko Takashima, the first deputy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Mr. Sighani said that the total value of this project is about 56 million Afghani. He emphasized that this cultural-commercial complex includes a technical training center, 20 shops, a green environment and an amusement park, which will be completed and commissioned by the end of this year. On the other hand, Mrs. Takashima said: “It is a happy place that today the women of Afghanistan are standing next to men and we are witnessing the implementation and implementation of such a vital project for the growth and support of women.” A special cultural, commercial and recreational complex for women is being built in Bamiyan with the financial support of UNHCR, while the caretaker government has imposed severe restrictions on the life and social activities of Afghan women. Afghan women and girls are banned from schools, universities, educational centers and work in domestic and international non-governmental institutions. In addition, women are prohibited from going to sports clubs, restaurants, public baths, examination by male doctors and traveling without a mahram.
