A young woman hanged herself in Kandahar

Officials at the Kandahar Police Command say that a 22-year-old woman hanged herself in Spinboldak district of this province and ended her life. Kandahar Police Spokesman Hafez Saber told Goharshad Media that this incident happened on (Saturday, 30th of Thor). He said that this woman is 22 years old and her name is Zarina, who committed suicide due to nervous problems. According to the police spokesperson, Zarina’s husband, who was arrested after this incident, and her parents were also interrogated, and it turned out that this woman had a nervous problem. He emphasized that this young woman had committed suicide twice before. According to police information, no traces of beating were seen on this woman. Almost two years have passed since the rule of the caretaker government, and during this period, murder and suicide among women and children have increased. During this period, the activities of the majority of organizations supporting women’s rights have been stopped. As in the past, women in Afghanistan can no longer complain about violence against them by referring to judicial institutions, and such violence remains stable and increases.
