Traffic incident in Faryab; Two people died, including a woman
Sources from Faryab province say that as a result of a Flankuch type car overturning in Bandar district of this province, a member of the caretaker government and a woman died and three others were injured. The source told Goharshad Media that this incident happened yesterday (Sunday, 31 Thor) in the “Talibjar” area of the newly established Bandar district. According to the source, this car deviated from the road due to high speed. The source emphasized that as a result of this incident, one member of the caretaker government named Ziaul Haq and a woman died and three other men were injured. On the other hand, Hamidullah Betshekan, the spokesperson of Faryab police, confirmed this news in a conversation with Goharshad media. He said that two people were killed and three others were injured in the incident, but he did not provide details about the identity of the dead. The police spokesperson said that he does not know the health status of the injured in this incident. Recently, the occurrence of traffic accidents has increased in different provinces of the country. Meanwhile, traffic accidents in Afghanistan kill hundreds of people every year and cause huge financial losses. According to the statistics provided by Afghanistan Traffic Department, at least 700 people were killed in traffic accidents in 1401 and more than 1000 others were injured. Also, the occurrence of traffic accidents has increased throughout the country in recent months. Carelessness of drivers, non-observance of traffic rules by drivers, broken and narrow roads are the main reasons for traffic accidents.
